Shared with the client’s permission. The recording is edited for relevance and plays at 1.25 times the original speed. This is one man’s consultation; your conversation will be built around your situation.
What to listen for
The conversation starts with the man in front of me: what he wants from the call, his daily life, his work, his son and where he feels stuck. His ex is part of the story, but she cannot be the entire agenda.
We examine the habits that still make him feel married, work through a boundary he finds difficult to set, and talk about the father and man he wants to become. When a message from his ex arrives during the call, we use the actual situation to consider his options.
The discussion also covers confidence, returning to routines, dating concerns and goals beyond simply getting through the day. That is how divorce strategy and recovery connect: the decisions in front of you affect the life you are trying to build.
How to use this before your own consultation
As you watch, write down the moment you recognize in your own life. Then bring three things to our conversation: the decision you need help with, what you have already tried and what you want to be different.
Is this the kind of coaching you want?
My approach is direct. I ask questions, challenge the habits keeping you stuck and help you decide what to do next. Use this recording to judge whether that approach fits you.
Coaching provides planning, perspective and accountability. Your attorney handles legal advice; licensed health professionals handle medical and mental-health care.
